Sikh Assembly of America Attends UN Forum on Minority Issues

Sikh Assembly of America attended the United Nations Forum on Minority Issues held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland. This meeting offered a critical platform for addressing transnational repression and Sikh representation on a global scale.

When Repression Knows No Borders

The Sikh Assembly aims to represent the Sikh Nation on the international stage. Through regular meetings with members of the United States Congress and top-level officials, the organization advocates for Sikh voices, promotes awareness of key issues, and ensures that the concerns of the Sikh community are heard and addressed at the highest levels of government.

Honoring the Golden Temple A Symbol of Service and Faith

US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti recently visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar, calling it “one of the few places in the world that are truly sacred.” During his visit, he took part in sewa (voluntary service), washing dishes in the temple’s kitchen a powerful reminder of the Sikh values of selfless service, community, and devotion. The Sikh Assembly celebrates and promotes these teachings, showcasing the global significance of Sikh faith and culture.
